Boris Sendker
Project Manager

Boris Sendker is a highly accomplished project manager and naval architect, bringing more than two decades of experience in yacht and cruiseship construction, shipbuilding, refit, repair and complex maritime project execution.

His professional background combines strong technical expertise in naval architecture and ocean engineering with extensive hands-on project management experience across luxury yacht newbuilds, major refit projects, repair works, offshore vessels and large passenger ship projects. This broad foundation enables him to manage technically demanding projects with a clear focus on quality, schedule, budget and reliable interface coordination.

Boris began his career in the yacht industry at Nobiskrug GmbH, where he gained extensive experience in naval architecture, outfitting and design before taking on progressive project management responsibilities. As Design Engineer, he was involved in naval architecture and outfitting tasks, including the supervision and evaluation of towing tank and propulsion tests as well as the coordination and quality control of appointed design and engineering offices.

He later became part of the project team for the 66m mega yacht “Triple Seven” as Deputy Project Manager and Outfitting Engineer, before taking over project management responsibilities for the 75m mega yachts “Siren” and “Graffiti”. In these roles, Boris was responsible for managing the project teams, controlling quality, budget and schedule, planning and steering the production sequence, reporting to management and acting as the main contact for the Owner’s representative at the yard. His responsibilities also included the preparation and negotiation of change orders and contract variations.

Following his time at Nobiskrug, Boris expanded his experience into commercial shipbuilding and offshore-related projects at J.J. Sietas Schiffswerft GmbH & Co. KG. As Sub-Project Manager for the deckhouse of the offshore jack-up vessel “MS Aeolus”, he supervised a turnkey supplier in Europe, monitored quality and schedule, coordinated the deckhouse installation at the yard and managed the sub-project team through to completion. He also held the role of Project Manager / Technical Project Manager for two double-ended RoRo ferries, where he was responsible for quality, budget, schedule, integrated planning and regular reporting to management.

As Owner’s Representative with Projektbox GmbH, Boris further strengthened his client-side project experience as part of the Owner’s site team for Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects, acting as Sub-Project Manager for the deckhouse scope and supervising the project from the Owner’s perspective.

At Peters Werft GmbH, Boris held several key roles in repair, sales, project management and yacht refit. His responsibilities included the preparation and submission of repair quotations, client communication, project execution and delivery in accordance with quality, schedule and cost targets. As Refit Manager Yacht, he managed the refit of the iconic mega yacht “Tatoosh”, coordinating onboard works and taking responsibility for quality, schedule, occupational safety and the management of the project planner.

Between 2017 and 2022, Boris worked for Genting Hong Kong Ltd. as Superintendent Hotel. In this role, he represented the client’s interests vis-à-vis the yard for the interior outfitting scope, managed architects during the design phase, reviewed yard performance during design and construction and accepted completed interior areas. He was also involved in the development and implementation of a large theme park area during design, construction and build, ensuring that concept, execution and delivery remained properly aligned.

At FSG-Nobiskrug Holding GmbH, Boris contributed both as Bid Manager and Project Manager. His responsibilities included bid preparation, costing, technical and schedule evaluation and risk assessment. As Project Manager, he was responsible for design, concept development, preliminary costing and planning assessment for a new 60m platform yacht with diesel-electric propulsion, supporting the early-stage technical and commercial evaluation of the project.

Most recently, Boris worked as a Freelance Naval Architect / Ocean Engineer for MEYER Wismar on the cruise ship newbuild project “Disney Adventure”. As Area Manager, he coordinated the entire passenger outer deck area, acting as an interface between design, owner and production to support efficient, high-quality execution and smooth interface management. He also participated in the transfer voyage to Singapore for commissioning and handover to the owner.

Boris’ strength lies in combining technical understanding, commercial awareness and practical project leadership. His experience covers both the yard and client side, enabling him to anticipate critical interfaces, align stakeholders and drive complex scopes forward in a structured and solution-oriented manner. His background in yacht newbuild, refit, repair, outfitting and large-scale shipbuilding projects makes him a valuable addition to demanding maritime projects where quality, precision and disciplined execution are essential.

Boris holds a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Bremen University of Applied Sciences. In addition, he has advanced AutoCAD skills and extensive experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and technical project coordination tools.
